The Creation of the Lion

by Carlos Govea
(Carlos is in Hans Duncan's grade 5 class at Adams Elementary. )

One day there was an animal god and he said, "I need to make
a dangerous
animal." So that day he was thinking and thinking until
finally he came
up with an idea. His idea was to make a fierce animal named
lion. So when
the god made the lion, he didn't know that it was going to
be a really
nice lion. Then the lion was sent to earth. The first day
an indian passed
by and the god told him, "kill that indian for lunch!" But
the lion
wouldn't listen. Then the days went by and the lion
wouldn't even harm a
dragonfly. So one day the god got really mad and told the
lion, "you got
on my nerves so that's why you're going to get tortured!"
So that's why
the lion roars these days.
